Silent Auction
The silent auction at the Golf Day is held in the clubhouse once all players have returned from the course and changed for lunch. The bidding forms are arranged on the tables for sealed bids to be submitted via the auction post box on the prize table.
While lunch and the silent auction are taking place the bar is open and fully stocked and entertainment is provided, usually in the form of a comedy stand-up routine. Bidding closes shortly after dessert is served when the adjudicator opens the sealed bids to prepare for the announcement of the winners for each item by the MC.
As well as individuals being able to bid on items and experiences that may not usually be available on the open market, it provides a vital boost in fundraising for the day, which in years gone by has increased the overall total drastically.
Charity Raffle
Our charity raffle draw occurs on completion of the silent auction. Tickets are available throughout the day from our volunteers in the clubhouse. Every prize is a surprise, with the person holding the winning tickets drawn making a selection from a prize ticket draw. This means there is no bias in which prize is given to which winner and ensures for a fair selection process for all.
Prize Donations
We are always most gracious to our supporters for the donations we receive to go into the silent auction and raffle and are always open to any form of donation that is offered for entry.
