The competition is a Texas Scramble over 18 holes, a combined team medal round to record one score on each hole.

Male members will play from the YELLOW tees throughout, lady members will play from the RED.

Each member of the team MUST have a minimum of THREE tee shots selected, one at a par 3. Teams of 3 will have a minimum of FOUR tee shots with one at a par 3.

If a team member’s tee shot (that must be used) is driven out of bounds or is lost, then that member MUST play again from the tee under penalty.

Other than as described above, all team members may participate with each shot.

Having decided which of the tee shots is to be used for the second shot, the ball should be marked. The player who struck the tee shot must play the team’s second shot first. All other players will play by first DROPPING their ball within two clubs length of the marker (if the ball comes to rest outside two clubs length or nearer the hole, it shall be re-dropped). If the same situation arises again the ball must then be placed where it struck the ground.

Play will proceed to the putting green in this manner.

On the green the ball should be marked a putter head away from the selected ball (no nearer the hole). This ball must be putted first. The first ball holed records the team score for that hole.

Teams should record the GROSS scores at each hole. The letter of the player whose tee shot is selected MUST be recorded on each hole.

On completion of the round, the TEAM gross score is reduced by the percentage handicap allowance: ie: 10% of the combined handicaps, or 16.6% for teams of THREE players.

The team with the lowest net score will be declared the winners.

In the event of a tie(s), a count back over the last 9, 6, 3, 1 holes will determine placings.

Ladies receive an additional 3 shots to account for the differential in CSS.
